In only a few years, Danionics has positioned itself as the leading supplier of li-ion polymer batteries for the handheld market segment. We wish to maintain this position and extend it by focusing on the consumers of this market segment.
Danionics is furthermore working on being the preferred supplier of batteries for the manufacturers of wireless eqiupment for the mobile sector e.g. bluetooth headsets, medical monitoring equipment, security equipment etc.
Danionics is also keeping a keen eye on the development of 3G mobile phones and the mobile phone sector in general, which demands a thin, high-capacity battery. With the new components, which demand increasing amounts of energy, such as colour monitors and transmission units, a li-ion polymer battery will give the consumers the cycle life demanded while maintaining a high design standard.
On the development front, we wish to extend our technological advantage to remain upfront with developments. We wish to utilise our enthusiastic development division and close collaboration with universities and raw material suppliers within the battery sector to ensure that our knowledge and understanding of materials is always updated so that the know-how we have generated continues to be converted into better battery technologies and solutions.
At present, all production takes place in Shenzhen, China, where we have established an excellent co-operation between the development and production divisions, with a high utilisation of materials and production of high-quality battery solutions. Competition is tough in the battery business, and it is essential for us to continue to improve our ability to ensure greater advantages.
Danionics’ battery technology is flexible and may be adapted to a wide range of different products, also outside the core areas listed above. We wish to map out these possibilities in a structured and systematic way, including an investigation of the market possibilities and the possibilities to adapt our battery technology in the best possible way to also be able to offer new customers a unique product with market advantages. We wish to carry out this task in close co-operation with both our sales and development divisions, thus utilising the knowledge we have accumulated in the best possible way.
Danionics wishes to have an organisational structure motivated to change so that swift adaptation to new market conditions is ensured in our changeable world. Adjustments to products and the organisation itself must take place continuously to ensure optimal resource utilisation.
